Automatic storage system
for beams up to 13 m length

For the automatic feeding of a joinery machine we developed in cooperation with our partner G+P a fully automatic storing system for beams between 2,5 – 13 m long.

The fork-lift lays the wood for storage on the transporter. The storage operation unit takes the pile and stores it on the shelf chosen by the control system.

   

After entry of the shelf-number the storage operation unit removes the chosen beams and lays them on the transporter.

The operator starts this process by pressing a button.

The transporter moves into position to retrieve the stored material.

   
The mobile vacuum grip is controlled by the operator and takes single beams or more from the pile and passes them on to the conveyor system.

By the press of a button remaining boards can be replaced on the correct shelf.
The transporter passes under the storage system to the conveyor belt where the vacuum lift moves selected boards.
The system layout shows the shelving system with 9 shelves with a height of 7,8 m.
Each shelf is constructed to carry a material weight of 4 tons.

The system can be extended at any time to 18 shelves by arrangement of a facing high-bay storage.

The use of a second transporter is possible for independent storage or removal.
